This is a traditional junior college athletic training position supporting 11 varsity sports within the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference.
It is a 12-month, full-time role with evening, weekend, and travel expectations. You will be embedded in athletics, working directly with student-athletes year-round.

Compensation ranges from $46,000 to $51,500, with relocation assistance up to $2,000 and participation in the Kansas state retirement system.
This is not a lifestyle industrial job. It is a traditional collegiate role.

The Work (What You’ll Actually Be Doing)
You will function as a hands-on athletic trainer within the athletics department.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:

Injury prevention, evaluation, and management

Rehabilitation and return-to-play progression

Home event coverage

Preparing athletes for treatment and recovery

Taping, bracing, and equipment application/removal

Direct communication with coaching staff

Travel as required
You are present for practices and competitions. You are part of the athletic department structure. Expect a full athletic calendar.

WHAT YOU NEED (Requirements)
Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field

BOC Certification (listed as NATA Certification)

Kansas licensure (or ability to obtain within 6 months)

Authorization to work in the United States
Preferred:

Master’s degree

Collegiate athletic training experience
