114 New Athletic Trainer Jobs — Monday, June 22, 2026 - Are you quietly looking at jobs...I've got the solution for you

114 new athletic trainer jobs this week. Lighter on volume but the range of settings at the top of the board this week is worth checking out.

In one week you have a national governing body posting for the US Women’s Soccer Development program. A Head AT role at a UC campus clearing six figures. Two Virginia school districts with civil service salary bands pushing past $117,000. Amazon back on the board with RSUs. And a 210-day contract in small-town Arkansas where the salary ceiling goes further than almost anywhere else in the picks.

The data backs up a nice cross section of the profession this week — 70% of postings included a salary, one of the better transparency weeks on the board all year. Sign-on and bonus disclosures came in at 22.8%, well above the 20-week average of 15.4%. The setting breakdown was the most balanced of any week this year — collegiate, secondary school, and industrial all within a few percentage points of each other.

Some exciting news! I am rolling out the pilot of a new feature called the Athletic Trainer Finder Talent Network and subscribers get early access. Check out the What's Worth Noting Section at the bottom to find out more!

One more thing before the picks — I will be at the NATA Annual Meeting next week. If you are attending and want to connect, reach out to me on LinkedIn or send me an email let’s make it happen.

Let’s get into the picks.

Head Athletic Trainer  |  UCSB Athletics

Goleta, CA  |  $100,000–$120,000 (Annual)

A six-figure Head AT role in the UC system — $100,000 to $120,000 with leadership oversight of the Harry Callihan Athletic Training Room, sports medicine budget management, and strategic liaison work between athletics, team physicians, and community medical partners. Four to six years of experience and a Master’s degree required. BOC, CPR/AED, and BLS certifications required. 25–50% travel expected during the collegiate sports season. The UC system benefits package is comprehensive and well-documented — retirement, health, dental, and vision coverage are all strong. The honest COL note: Santa Barbara is one of the most expensive housing markets in California, which is saying something. Cost of living runs 60–80% above the national average and housing is among the most constrained in the state. The $100,000–$120,000 range is strong for the profession but needs to be evaluated against what that market actually costs to live in. No retirement or bonus disclosure listed — ask specifically, given that the UC system typically offers a defined benefit pension that adds substantial long-term value.

Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)  |  $80,000–$100,000 (Annual)

U.S. Soccer is hiring an AT to provide comprehensive medical care and performance support for the U20 and U23 Women’s Youth National Teams. This is elite national federation work — international competition travel, collaboration with a multidisciplinary Integrated Performance Support Team, and direct involvement in long-term player development initiatives including the Goldprint for Winning and Female 360 programs. Five years of elite sports experience required. Master’s degree and BOC certification required. The hybrid structure is based in Atlanta — Georgia runs roughly 5–10% above the national average on cost of living, manageable in context. The $80,000–$100,000 range is transparent and competitive for national federation work. No retirement or bonus disclosure listed. For an experienced AT with an elite women’s or soccer background who wants national team exposure, this is genuinely rare.

Athletic Trainer (11-Month)  |  King George County Schools

King George, VA  |  $60,942–$117,165 (Annual)

The civil service salary band tops out at $117,165 with an updated figure reaching $125,367 for the highest experience tier — one of the strongest secondary school ceilings on the board this year. The structured education stipends are worth reading carefully: a Master’s degree adds 7% to the base salary, National Board Certification adds $2,000, and a Doctorate adds $2,000. Those incentives compound meaningfully at the top of the scale. 11-month, 220-day contract. King George County is about 60 miles south of DC in the Northern Neck region of Virginia — cost of living is considerably more manageable than the DC metro proper. Ask specifically what step you would enter at and how the education stipends are applied to the base before treating any number in the upper range as your actual salary.

Athletic Trainer  |  Loudoun County Public Schools — Broad Run High School

Ashburn, VA  |  $64,344–$119,572 (Annual, 11-Month)

Loudoun County has appeared on this board multiple times this year — this week’s posting is specifically for Broad Run High School, a different campus from the Briar Woods posting featured in June 1. Same civil service classification structure, same strong ceiling. The 11-month, 7-hour workday structure provides more predictability than most secondary school AT roles. Loudoun County is one of the most well-resourced school districts in Virginia and the administrative support reflects that. The DC metro COL caveat applies — Ashburn runs roughly 40–50% above the national average on cost of living. Ask what step you would enter at and confirm sole provider status before accepting.

Fort Wayne, IN  |  $60,200–$90,200 (Annual) + Sign-On + RSUs

Amazon’s fourth appearance on this board in 2026. Consistent structure, consistent range, consistent RSU model. Fort Wayne is in northeast Indiana — cost of living runs roughly 10–15% below the national average, which makes the salary range genuinely strong purchasing power. Day-one benefits including 401(k) matching, comprehensive health coverage, paid parental leave, and adoption assistance. The RSU component adds upside compensation beyond the base — ask directly about the vesting schedule and award amount. Also ask about shift structure given Amazon’s 24/7 operational model, and whether solo or team coverage applies at this facility.

Head Athletic Trainer  |  Lake Hamilton Junior High

Pearcy, AR  |  $71,121–$86,870 (Annual, 210-Day)

Pearcy is a small community in the Hot Springs area of Arkansas — cost of living is well below the national average and the $71,121–$86,870 range on a 210-day contract is genuine purchasing power there. The role covers grades 7–12, managing comprehensive sports medicine services including injury prevention, emergency care, and rehabilitation across all sports. Arkansas AT licensure required. The 210-day contract provides a defined structure with meaningful time outside the school year. Ask about sole provider status, sport assignments, supply budget, and what the supervision structure looks like for student assistants.

What's Worth Noting This Week:

AT Finder Talent Network — Member Launch

Since I started Athletic Trainer Finder, I’ve seen the same thing over and over again: athletic trainers posting anonymously to ask about salaries, settings, relocation, workload, and whether a better opportunity might be out there. In many cases, it’s not because they’re desperate to leave their current role, it’s because they want to explore what’s out there without their current employer knowing they’re looking. Not to be devious, but to avoid potential reprecussions. In a profession as small as athletic training, anonymity often matters.

That reality is a big part of why I’m beginning the rollout of the AT Finder Talent Network — a free, confidential resource for athletic trainers designed to help create better connections between ATs and employers while keeping athletic trainers in control of the process. Each athletic trainer in the network will be assigned an AT Finder Talent ID, and employers will only see the de-identified information an athletic trainer agrees to make public. Your name, current employer, contact information, compensation expectations, and identifying details will not be shared without your permission. Athletic trainers who would prefer to make more of their profile public will also have the option to do so.

The long-term vision is bigger than simply helping employers fill jobs. It’s about helping ATs confidentially explore opportunities, while also giving employers better insight into what athletic trainers are actually looking for in a role. The more athletic trainers who join, the more powerful the Talent Network becomes, not just in creating connections, but in helping AT Finder provide candid market feedback that can ultimately lead to stronger athletic training positions across the profession.
